From the very first moment Charlie saw Gina, he felt a spark that he couldn’t explain, something rare and beautiful. He rushed to tell his family soon after that she was unlike anyone he’d ever met.On their first date, he arrived with a bouquet of fresh flowers, his every gesture brimming with care. By their second date, he surprised her with a gift for valentine's day that, unexpectedly to Gina, perfectly captured the things she loved and a card saying that he "hopes to stick around a while longer".At the same time, Gina would Facetime her sister and friends while in the UK, gushing over how she's never met anyone with everything she'd prayed for except for Charlie; She loved his kindness, patience, his perseverance and selflessness.As their love blossomed over the first of four years, one day, unexpectedly, Charlie told Gina he was learning Arabic; a gesture so profound, born from his love of her heritage and Coptic Orthodox faith.When she met his family, a stunningly natural warmth grew; his love was embraced by his two lovely sisters. And when Gina introduced him to her parents and siblings, despite the cultural bridges, they welcomed him with open hearts. Together, they dream of their future adventures, whether it’s in a West End theater in London (one of their favorite date activities) or cozy paint nights while watching The Office (U.S version of course!). Now, after these four magical years, they can’t wait to build their forever!

Where Should we stay?

We recommend you stay in the North York or Markham area! They are close enough to the centre of Toronto without the hassle of the city while also being close to our wedding. I do not know anything about Egyptian culture, should I?

While you do not need to know anything about Egyptian culture specifically, you can expect the same format of most standard weddings. First, is the church ceremony; You'd expect to see ancient coptic orthodox hymnal sounds and beautiful processions. We'll be wearing crowns on our heads for a part of the ceremony called the crowning ceremony. The reception will be vivacious, loud and dance forward so bring your dancing shoes with you (and prepare to belly dance at some point in the night)!
